Corporate Governance

Corporate Governance

Working in the best interests of our members and playing an important part in the running of the Society, are five sub-committees that govern how the Society is run. They are:

  • Assets & Liabilities Committee (ALCO);
  • Audit Committee;
  • Nominations Committee;
  • Remuneration Committee;
  • Britannia Treasury Services (BTS) Committee.

They exist to oversee various areas of the business and ensure that, when it comes to 'best practice', we're doing everything we can to put our members first.

Have a look at what each of the committees do. You can also view the Terms of Reference which define things such as the scope of responsibility and main objectives for each.

If it's a more in depth look you're after, you can take a look at the Corporate Governance Report which is in the Annual Reports & Accounts 2006, and the roles of each of the committees are explained in full within this report.
