Fraudulent Emails |
We've become aware that on 2 May 2008 a fake email was sent, with the subject 'Account hijacked', from a company identifying itself as Britannia Building Society.

The email states that there have been attempts to log into an account from a foreign 'IP' address. It contains a link for customers to verify their account.
Clicking on the link would take you to a non-Britannia website, where you would be asked to enter your Online Servicing account details.
Please do not click on the link in the email, as it's not a genuine email from us. We have already taken action to ask the authorities to close the website down. We advise that you delete it from your inbox immediately.
