Young enterprisers take their business to BritanniaStudents from Haywood High School & Engineering College are holding a Young Enterprise Event at Britannia in Leek. The students have set up a business to create photo gifts for Christmas and will be visiting the Head Office for a day. Employees at Britannia will be able to have their favourite photos put on either a mug, coaster, badge, keyring or puzzle. Once all Christmas orders are placed the students will go away and create the items in time for Christmas. All profit that the students make through this venture will be donated to the Ellie - Mae Mellor fund. Ellie-Mae, now 18 months, lost her left arm and both her legs to meningococcal septicaemia, a rare form of meningitis, which also destroyed her cheek, earlobe, top lip and fingertips. Neville Richardson, Britannia Group Chief Executive said ‘It's a great opportunity for the students to bring their business to Britannia for the day and raise some money for a worthwhile cause and for us to show them how Britannia operates, so they can see how a large scale financial organisation works.’ For more information and a photo opportunity contact Mandy, Jayne or Emma, Group Communications, Britannia Building Society on 01538 393883.
