Britannia buys adventure play equipment for Grange Park Primary SchoolBritannia Building Society has purchased adventurous play equipment for the pupils of Grange Park Primary School. The play equipment will give the pupils the opportunity to be active during their break times and enjoy playing outside in the fresh air. Mr Paul Smith, Head Teacher at Grange Park Primary School said ‘It’s fantastic that Britannia have purchased this equipment for the children. Since the play items have been delivered all the children love playing outside with them.’ The play equipment will provide an opportunity for interaction and exercise which is an important part of the school day. The items included a trampoline, scooters, trikes with sidecars and an undersea adventure set. Christine Hoare, from the Wood Green branch of the Britannia Building Society, told us ‘It is great to know we are able to help our local primary school to buy this equipment. All the staff at the Wood Green branch of the Britannia are delighted that we have been able to buy this equipment for our local school at a cost of £1,889 from Britannia’s Community Fund.’ Britannia Building Society celebrated their 150th birthday last year and gave donations to 150 voluntary groups and charities across the country. Britannia's Community Fund will be continuing into 2008 and schools wishing to apply to the fund need to pick up a leaflet from their local Britannia Building Society branch or download an application form from Britannia’s website www.britannia.co.uk
