Britannia buys outdoor equipment for Holme Village Pre-SchoolBritannia Building Society has bought outdoor play equipment for Holme Village Pre-School to enable the children to spend more time outside. Britannia also purchased a new shed for the group so they can keep all their outside equipment dry and secure as there is no storage space available for outside equipment at the village hall. Denise Pike, Secretary for the Holme Village Pre-School, said 'It's fantastic that Britannia have been able to help us purchase new equipment for the children. The equipment included outdoor cushions, which means we can now make the most of sunny days with outdoor story time and other such activities ensuring the children get plenty of fresh air.' Holme Pre-School is entirely parent run and funded through donations like the one from Britannia, fund raising and fees. Donations like this ensure that Holme Village Pre-School are able to keep their equipment up to a high standard and ensure the children have the best possible pre-school experience. Sally Geeson, manager of the Peterborough branch of the Britannia Building Society, told us "It is a great feeling to know we are able to help our local pre-school. All the staff at the Peterborough branch of the Britannia are delighted that we have been able to buy equipment costing £546 for the children." Britannia Building Society celebrated its 150th birthday last year and donated to 150 voluntary groups and charities across the country. Britannia's Community Fund is continuing this year and groups wishing to apply for funding need to pick up a leaflet from their local Britannia Building Society branch. Download this press release.
