News Release - 16 August 2007

Britannia's fundraisers help to save lives

Members of Britannia's Security Team will be handing over a cheque for £1300 to the County Air Ambulance Trust on Thursday 23 August.

The money was raised when Britannia opened up its car parks for the Leek Show, which the Society also sponsored. The Security Team asked visitors to make donation for using the car parks and raised more than £1300.

Keith Hodson, from the County Air Ambulance Trust, will be receiving the cheque from members of Britannia's Security Team at Britannia House at 10.30am on Thursday.

Keith said, "We are really grateful to the people who attended the Leek Show for their generosity and to Britannia's Security Team for their fundraising efforts. We are totally reliant on voluntary funds to be able to provide a rapid response to life threatening medical emergencies, so donations like this make a huge difference."
