Society scores with Stoke City

Britannia Building Society will score a winner with Stoke City on Monday 26 February when it hands over another significant contribution to the club.

The money is generated from the Society's Stoke City Save and Support and Junior Saver accounts - each year Britannia returns a bonus of up to 1per cent of the value of the daily average balances back to the club.

Tim Franklin, Britannia's Managing Director of Member Business, explained: "Since the Stoke City Save and Support account was introduced in 1996 Britannia has given a massive £4.8million back to the club. This is a fantastic amount and is thanks to the support of the loyal Stoke City fans who hold the accounts.

"The Save and Support accounts give fans the chance to save money, earn a great rate of interest and benefit from a number of Stoke City offers while supporting their favourite team. In return the club receive a great annual bonus from Britannia."

The Stoke City Ladies Team will help to hand over the money during half-time of Saturday's match against Barnsley. They will hold huge gold coins representing the six figure sum.
