What Happens After I Apply

Solicitors' charges

When you're looking to buy a property and apply for a mortgage, you’ll need a solicitor or licensed conveyancer to handle the legal work.

It's important that you ask your solicitor for a detailed quotation, so that you know how much you are likely to pay for the preparation of the mortgage deed, the costs of conveyancing, out of pocket expenses, land registry fees, local searches and other disbursements.

To save time and money, we will normally instruct the same solicitor as you to process the legal work where involved in setting up a mortgage. However, if your solicitor is not on our panel, we will instruct a separate solicitor which will mean you will incur separate costs.
