Our mission is to be known as Britain's best mutual - a great organisation to which our Members and our people are proud to belong.

We're a group of businesses, featuring the Member Business and the Britannia Capital Investment Group (BCIG). BCIG is a group of companies set up to generate profits for our members. This unique structure is supported centrally by what we call our 'Group Services' such as organisational development, finance, compliance and IT.

We're dedicated to making membership worthwhile. This is the reason we exist.

We have 6 Givens which we never let go of. These are:

• remaining mutual and acting in the membership's best interests;
• being financially strong;
• being ethical, socially responsible and a model of compliance;

• rewarding members through our loyalty scheme, Britannia Membership Reward;

Britannia's purpose is to make membership worthwhile for our three million members. Unlike many shareholder-owned companies, profit is not our only measure of success.

Our balanced scorecard measures our performance in 12 different areas to ensure we are delivering for our members.
