Britannia in the community
Community News
We believe we have an important role to play in the wider community...
Over the past six years we've donated more than £3.5 million to local charities and good causes. We have helped lots of different causes over the years ranging from new books for school libraries, sensory rooms and new school diaries.
Here are some of the awards that we have won, community quotes and our recent news releases which celebrate our good work.

Georgina Finney, Director of Humanities and Head of Careers, Moorside High School
" I discovered Britannia on an Enterprise training session run by Staffordshire Partnership. The highlight of the day by far was the workshop Britannia ran. It was both entertaining and informative and they provided resources that I could see could make a really positive impact upon the financial education of the students. I left the course seeing huge potential and this is not always the case. Britannia were efficient, helpful and exceptionally organised. Their resources were well planned and they sought feedback on how these could be improved. Clare came to the school to ascertain appropriate resources and she was immensely professional and organised."
Paula Griffiths, Assistant Head Teacher, James Brindley Science College
"I am pleased and relieved that the financial programme is being offered again this school year and I have already booked Britannia to come into our school. This type of support is of paramount importance to schools and I hope that we will be able to work with Britannia for many years to come."
Mr Hattersley, Head Teacher, Chuter Ede Primary School
"It's fantastic that Britannia have purchased buddy benches for the children. The benches include old fashioned favourite games, which we hope will stimulate the young minds during breaks."
Victoria Kent, Enterprise and Careers Coordinator, Painsley Catholic College
"(Fit4Finance)... is a day that was made far more interesting and informative by Britannia than I could ever have done by myself and all the students valued their input. The links that the school have with Britannia are highly valued by myself and the students alike and we thoroughly appreciate the commitment and time they have given to us."
Sarah Thursfield, Head Teacher, Christchurch Primary School
"Thanks to Britannia we have been able to vastly improve the school's library facilities. The library is very important to the children's education and we now have a fantastic selection of books to help and encourage the children to improve their reading. We are very grateful to Britannia for taking an interest in the school."
Christine Pointon, Manager, Home Start
"The equipment and toys for the sensory room were much needed to aid the development of the children. The room is absolutely fabulous, it is brilliant and everybody loves it. The equipment is extremely beneficial but it is also very expensive and without the support of Britannia, we couldn't have bought it."
