Britannia, as part of The Co-operative Bank does not just offer mortgages, insurance, loans and savings accounts, we also believe that we have an important role to play in the wider community.

We recognise the contribution that our people can make to the success of our community involvement. Volunteering is a tool for learning and development via real life activities whilst at the same time making a difference in our local communities.
The Britannia Foundation is our own registered charity and from January 2008, our yearly contribution increased from £300,000 to £500,000!
Support and Decision Making
We have established groups and boards which are fully involved when it comes to looking at the areas of community for us to concentrate on. We have an Ethical Steering Group, chaired by Paul Mills, which meets monthly to look at how we're doing and plan for future community involvement.
