Changing personal details

We want your time with us to run as smoothly as possible but understand there may be times when situations change.

Changing your name

If you've changed your name recently due to marriage, divorce or by deed poll don't forget to tell us so we can change your details on your accounts.

You can also use this form if you would like to add or remove an account holder, this would be subject to the accounts terms and conditions so please check these prior to sending the form.

Please use a separate form if your account names are different i.e. single or joint accounts should be entered on separate forms, if not you can get a maximum of three accounts in the same name on each form.

Don't forget to sign and date your form and include some proof of who you are. If you're adding a name onto your account our identification requirements will show you what we'll accept.

We also need either:

  • a certified copy of the appropriate official document i.e. marriage, decree absolute, change of name deed, this can be certified by either a solicitor or a Britannia branch.
  • or you can send us the original which we will copy and return to you.

We will change your details as soon as we receive this form.

Changing your address

If you're moving soon or have already settled into your new home, don't forget to let us know so we can change your details on your account/s.

Please use a separate form if the account names are different or the account holders live at different addresses. If not, you can get a maximum of two accounts on each form.

Don't forget to sign and date your form. Please note, if we feel the signature/s on the form don't match with what we have on our records, we'll write out to you requesting further identification.

Please note: If you're due to move in a few weeks time, it's best to hold off sending the form until about 1 week before hand. Or, simply write on the form the date the new address is effective from.
