Help us to keep your money safe

At Britannia we pride ourselves on keeping your money safe. We always work to ensure that no one can access your money except you. However, there are lots of simple precautions you can take to help make sure your savings stay safe.

• Sign your CashCard as soon as you receive it.
• Store your CashCard and its PIN separately
• Destroy the PIN advice slip immediately
• Keep your passbook, CashCard and statements safe and do not allow anyone else to use them.
• Only disclose your security details when using your CashCard or registering or resetting your security details to use internet or Telephone Services.
• Make sure no one is watching or listening when you are using your security details.
• Don't write down your PIN or security details in a way that someone else might understand.
• Never leave your computer unattended when you are logged into our Online Servicing facility.
• Destroy important documents safely, eg, by shredding.
• Check your passbook and/or statement carefully for any unauthorised transactions. If you find any, please report them at the earliest opportunity.
• Report a lost passbook or CashCard promptly - Lost or stolen - details of where to call - day or night.
